Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Theme Park, Staffordshire.

During the summer holidays we were on a trip to the West Midlands so surprised Eden with a birthday trip to Drayton Manor Theme Park to visit Thomas Land.

I was really impressed with Thomas Land. It is very well done, the theme is consistent, lots of attention to detail and they have a good selection of rides- 25 Thomas and friends themed rides. At Europe’s only Thomas Land, Littluns are transported to the Island of Sodor with rides, character shows and appearances and a meet and greet with the Fat Controller.

Sometimes these types of places can look a bit tired and dated after a while but Thomas Land was impressive, really clean and well looked after.

🎟 There are minimal concession prices for disabled people and no free carer option. It cost £100 for 2 adults and 2 children so not the cheapest day out but reasonable compared with other theme parks.

🅿️ Plenty of on-site parking at £6 per day. Disabled spaces very close to the entrance.

🍔 Food is quite pricey and there is a limited choice. The usual offering – mostly unhealthy! Next time I would take a picnic.

🎢 Thomas Land is brilliant and the wider park has a lot of choice and some great rides- 100 rides according to their website! As well as a zoo. My two especially loved the roller coasters. There is a lot to do and it’s hard to fit it in in a day, especially as the opening hours are 10:30-4:30 at times. If we go again, I will do an overnight break so we can have two days in the park to really explore all it has to offer.

♿️ Access and inclusion is good. Guest Services were super helpful and friendly and issue easy access passes to people who need them. This pass allows you to enter ten rides via the disabled entrance. We did all the rides in Thomas Land, some more than once, and hardly had to queue.

🚂 Thomas Land is 100% worth a visit if you have children who are interested in Thomas or transport. We all really enjoyed it and Eden had a blast!

Our day at Thomas Land

If you get the chance to visit, it’s a great day out for fans of Thomas and theme parks. There’s something for all the family and will keep young kids and older kids happy!

Enjoy your adventures!
