We’ve been to Monkey World a few times now. It’s a wonderful place, doing great work, full of heartwarming stories. It’s not a commercial zoo experience- it’s a small place, a rescue centre that has provided a sanctuary for lots of mistreated apes. Think quality over quantity.
Families spend time standing and watching/admiring the monkeys in their (very appropriate) enclosures, rather than dashing from one thing to the next.
The restaurant is decent and well-priced and kids can pick up a reasonable souvenir on a £5 budget in the gift shop.
The entrance fees are reasonable at £15/£10 for adults/kids with under 3s free and concessions available. There is a small picnic and play area too.
