Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

We visited CMWDP when staying in Woolacombe and Ilfracombe as my son was doing dinosaurs for his school topic and thought it would be entertaining and educational. The park is interesting for younger kids but make sure you make a day of it . We arrived at 2pm which was too late as it closes at 5pm – it feels a bit expensive for a couple of hours at £15/£14 for adults/kids – see prices and book tickets here Make a full day of it to see everything and get your money’s worth.

The food in the cafe is reasonably priced for a place with a captive audience (£26 for 2 adult and 2 kids) and the kids loved the big soft play- a large structure suitable for different age groups but don’t forget your socks! (Or buy them for £1.25 per pair)

It’s around £14.99 entry so not the cheapest for a family day out. You pay £1 per person for the train ride- we thought it was a trip around the park but it’s actually a short ride where you get splashed with water- lasts a couple of minutes but the kids enjoyed it.

The paths are extremely steep so difficult for buggies/wheelchairs/mobility problems. The park is quite spread out so we only saw the sea lions and the dinosaur area with animatronic dinosaurs and sound effects. The museum is interesting and we enjoyed the film in the little cinema.

Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Enjoy x
