You may have noticed, I’m rather fond of a country park.  There’s nothing better than fields and fresh air to keep my little two happy. Like a pair of puppies, they need feeding and walking twice a day – it gets them out of the house, away from the telly and stops them fighting for five minutes!

Our idea of a good day out is simple: freedom to play for the kids, coffee and parking for mum! Denham Country Park ticks all the boxes with an adventure playground, open space for picnics, football and general messing around, a woodland walk and a small river to splash, paddle and pond-dip in. Happy kids. There is an on-site car park and a decent cafe with nice coffee and cake. Happy mum.

The car park is small so get there early to get a space and park all day for £4.50. The boot of our car is always full of the various accoutrements that come with kids, including fishing nets- you’ll want these for the river- but, if you forget yours, you can buy them in the shop.
